Beginning in August, Dance du Soleil is very proud to announce that Tiffany Mackey is joining our team as our new jazz instructor!! We are so excited and honored beyond words to have her here and can’t wait for every one to meet her. Tiffany will be teaching jazz on Wednesday nights in August, right after beginner belly dance.

Tiffany Esposito Mackey is originally from New York, where she received most of her training in classical ballet and jazz. Her studies began with her mother Kathryn Esposito, and then on to work with many nationally known teachers and choreographers, such as, Mia Michaels, Wade Robson, Dan Karaty, and Darrin Henson. She danced with Ballet Wichita, of Wichita, KS. for 5 years as a soloist where she performed leading roles in such ballets as The Nutcracker, Coppelia and La Sylphide. She studied with The Eglevsky Ballet of New York, Cedar Lakes Ballet of New York, Broadway Dance Center, Steps On Broadway, Bev B of Pure Funk in N.Y., Jen Ballard, former director of The Cedar Lakes Ballet in N.Y., Ballet Met of Columbus OH., and New Albany Ballet of New Albany, OH. where she performed as a soloist in such ballets as Don Quixote and The Nutcracker; she was also on staff as the jazz teacher and choreographer. As a teenager, she was part of an off of Broadway show called, “The Four Seasons”. She was Miss Headliner, Miss Starpower and I Love Dance Sweetheart title winner. Mrs. Mackey has been a teacher and choreographer for the past 18 years. Her choreography has earned many awards in the competition circuit, including The Youth American Grand Prix, as well as her dancing. In 2003 she choreographed, alongside her mother Kathryn Esposito, The Nutcracker Ballet for The Columbus Youth Ballet in Columbus, OH. In 2006 she became artistic director for The Columbus Youth Ballet where she restaged many ballets as well as being on staff as resident choreographer, teacher and was head of the ballet, jazz and contemporary/lyrical departments. In 2007, she performed at Universal Studios in Orlando Fl., and was a member of a jazz/cabaret company where she toured around the Jacksonville and Orlando area. In addition, she was on staff as a teacher and choreographer for the Orlando School of Cultural Dance. Along with dancing, Mrs. Mackey has kept busy as a magician’s assistant, touring throughout the Ohio area, and doing promotional and print modeling. She has worked as a guest teacher around the country as well as a guest choreographer. Mrs. Mackey had her own dance company in Columbus, OH., focusing on classical and contemporary ballet, jazz, street jazz and contemporary/lyrical. She also has been on staff as a judge and master class teacher for the dance competition organization Talent On Parade. Most recently, Mrs. Mackey is very happy and excited to announce that she has joined the prestigious dance school Dance du Soleil as their jazz teacher located in Lewis Center, OH. Her unique style of teaching, choreography, and energy, is a culmination of the many years of quality training she has received from coast to coast.
